The Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas recently received a $1,244,972 grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration through the Tribal Behavioral Health “Native Connections” program to provide education and resources to tribal youths.
While the program will have long-standing presence, it is especially critical during the current pandemic, according to tribal leaders.
